Enjoy the Greenery

We're going green! Well, we've always sorta been green, but now we've outdone ourselves! On our list of green are:

1. RECYCLE, RECYCLE, RECYCLE
We save all of our bottles, papers, cartons and other reusable goodies and put them in the big blue bin in our garage. It gets picked up every Thursday morning.

2. ELECTRONIC BILLING, NOT PAPER MILLING
Don't expect your invoices by mail any longer. We don't want to waste anymore paper than we have to, so when you get our emailed invoices, please store them on your computer and don't print them out. And you don't need to mail a copy back to us with your check...maybe just write the invoice number in the memo line. Really, we're not that big and we can probably figure it out.

3. COMPUTER FILES, NOT MANILA FILES
We are in the process of scanning all of our filed papers to PDFs. All credit reports, mortgage papers and bills now come as electronic files. We have registered all of our accounts online so we no longer get paper statements in the mail. All we do is logon each month, pay and download. No more pencils and paper!

4. VEGAN LUNCHES
A company that cooks together stays together. We spend an hour everyday cooking our lunches, and sometimes a few cookies and breads. Everything is always vegan, which means no animals were hurt, earth was barely touched to produce the food, and most importantly, we all get a healthy, homemade meal. Not to mention, since most of the food is from the local farmers' market, no plastic bags or packaging were thrown away.

5. USING OUR GREEN TO GO GREEN
We are spending our money on green purchases for the loft - paint for the walls, cleaners, recycled paper (for our clients who do printing), and anything else that has a green option. I even made a recent purchase from www.mohop.com for completely eco-friendly shoes that are handmade out of recycled materials (and they are vegan!).

In these times of changing climates, growing population and trends that promote convenience over responsibility, it is important that we all take steps to save our planet. For more information on living a compassionate, green lifestyle, please visit http://earth911.org.
